I am not sure how this site and its related sites work – it is a new newsgathering tool which has received rave reviews from bloggers (see Techcrunch, below).

OurMedia ‘aims at building strategies and collaborations among academics, non-governmental organizations, practitioners, artists and advocates for the promotion of communication rights, effective access to ICT, community and citizen participation in the media and community engagements that foster social change, women’s participation in the sector and cultural revitalization.’ Their sixth conference is being held in Sydney later this year.

Speedmatters, where ‘redlining’ and the digital divide in the US are hot issues. The Communications Workers Association believes adoption of broadband in the US has slowed.
